When I was younger I did like to just listen much of the time. Youth seems to afford that luxury more often then now when I feel like I need to be doing something else.

"In-a-gadda-da-vida" was my turning point in what I looked for in music. I was amazed by the length of the song and extended instrumental portions. It was rock as classical music. After that I began to seek out more of this epic music. "Jesus Christ, Superstar", Zappa and Pink Floyd, the long Neil Young and Allman Bros. jams were things I sought out because I could become so immersed in the music and the music could become my soundtrack.

There's room for all of it and I'm glad it's all out there. Everyone has something in particular they look for in their music. And I like different kinds of music at different times. I'm glad for the variety.

Lee
Tossing It OutArlee Birdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11663942782929929334noreply@blogger.com
