A Blog Bit about concept albums - what a concept....
A Blog Bit about concept albums - what a concept!

I own Frank Sinatra's "Songs For Swingin' Lovers" and the sticker on the front advertises it as "An original Sinatra concept album", but FRANKLY, I don't get it. If this is a "concept album" they are using that term very, very loosely.

Say, I acknowledge that you admitted up front that your list of concept albums was not comprehensive, but even so, there is - in my op. - a rather glaring omission. How does a music man such as yerself not immediately think of Bob Dylan's "Blood On The Tracks" when compiling a list of notable examples? I mean, especially since I already know ya dig that recording big time.

And yeah, Floyd's "Dark Side..." certainly has business being on that list, but in the Floyd catalogue, I think "The Wall" would come to mind first for me, although "Dark Side..." is superior music.

And RUSH?! Pshaw! Yucky stuffs!

But all kidding aside, good Blog Bit, Buddy!

~ STMcC
<"As a dog returns to his own vomit,
so a fool repeats his folly."
~ Proverbs 26:11>Stephen T.
