Stylistically the two artists are similar though McLauchlan is a bit more country folk I'd say. Are you familiar with Murray McLauchlan? His stuff is kind of hard to find in the U.S., but I think he's worth checking out if you like roots based music.<br /><br />I saw him in concert once in Toronto and it was among my favorite concerts I've seen.
