A TREATISE ON ALPHABETIC BLOGGING

or, DISSECTING THE 2013 A TO Z CHALLENGE

So there you have it...twenty-six progressive albums from the last year or so.

Did any reader feel inspired to go seek out any of these titles?

How about simply being inspired to break out some similar music you already owned?

As always, I appreciate your stopping by and doubly appreciate you leaving comments.

I started this blog because I felt it sad that the concept of "the album" was being deteriorated by the increasing market for downloads, and no genre of rock leverages the album format like progressive rock does.

Hopefully, I've introduced some of you to something you enjoy that you would not have otherwise heard.

If I did inspire you to go out and purchase a title, please make sure you leave a comment to that effect...it gives my blog added "street cred."

  1. Did you add your link to the list? I haven't seen it yet.

You hit me with some new stuff I'd never heard of, but let's face it, I don't keep up with music like I used to. I probably won't be buying anything just because of my liquidity financially, but if I had funds to spend on that sort of thing, this is the sort of music I'd mostly be buying.

Good entry for the Challenge. Hope more people will come back to visit.

  2. I'd forgotten to leave my link (busy week), so thanks for reminding me.

I don't know anyone but me who buys CD's anymore-most people I know download songs from iTunes (the smart ones get me to bring a CD into work so they can rip it for free).

But the store I frequent still seems to draw a crowd, so I guess my hobby is safe for now.

  3. I did very much enjoy your theme, and I have added all those bands and artists I didn't know to my "to-listen-to" tag at Last.fm. Someday I will actually get around to going to that tag and working my way through it. I always love to learn about new music and give it a chance!
